With their student allure, Baptiste and Vincent form a discrete and singular duo. It has already been a couple years that this pair of intentional and talented counterparts are running on “red”, the flagship color of their creations.
Their nondescript style is borderline on design, visual art, and decorative art. This useful and graphic trend, and an interest in natural and organic phenomena are their main sources of inspiration.
The pieces are minimalist, geometrical, and with harsh lines; or in contrast, uphold baroque inspiration. Their approach to ceramics is decidedly experimental and artisanal.
Casting is one of the main techniques of their workshop.
Playing on repetition and variation, the mold goes beyond simple reproduction, and it is the true essence of the creation and play on shapes.
Their branding is unique and indeed very present. The aesthetic and functionality of their pot illustrates this brilliantly, with its simple but unique geometric shape, and its splendid red terracotta earthenware.
Atelier Polyhedre is a creation and production ceramics studio created in 2007 by Baptiste Ymonet and Vincent Jousseaume.
Baptiste is a graduate of L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Tours, and Vincent of L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Nantes.
